I need to sync another epic to my project but when I try to edit the synced epics, I get an error message, why?

Do you have Timesheet Lock enabled? Timesheet Lock prevents changes made in JIRA from syncing to Forecast. If changes are attempted, like adding another epic to the project, the following error will display.

To edit the list of synced epics, Timesheet Locking must be temporarily disabled. Once disabled, the list of Epics may be updated. Once the sync updates are complete, Timesheet Locking may be re-enabled. 

When re-enabling Timesheet Locking the following warning will appear. Confirm to continue. 

We strongly discourage clients from using the JIRA for Forecast integration and Timesheet Lock feature together as they are not compatible:

• Timesheet Lock allows Forecast Admins to lock timesheets based on a certain date in time at their discretion.
• Timesheet Lock prevents future changes on time registrations and timesheets reported before the “lock” date. If changes are made to time reported in JIRA but the time/timesheet is locked in Forecast, the changes will not sync to Forecast. This is correct and intentional based on the design and expected use of the Timesheet Lock feature.
