Question
I need to move tasks from one project to another, but I am not able to. Why?
Answer
Both projects must be synced with JIRA in order to move the task from one project to another.
- If the source project is synced with JIRA and the destination project is not, it will not be possible to move the tasks to the destination project.
The bulk task actions menu option Move to another project is disabled in projects synced with JIRA.
- Tasks can be moved individually from Scoping or Task Board.
- To bulk move tasks across projects, initiate the action from within the JIRA project.
If you are using Task Board to move the task, be sure the destination column is synced with JIRA.
- Synced workflow columns will reflect the JIRA logo.
If a task contains locked time registrations it will not be possible to move it.
- See Why can't I delete time registrations? for more information.
