Synchronization Rules
The following rules apply to the JIRA Cutoff Date within Forecast projects synced with JIRA projects or epics.
Issues
Issue Types: Epic, Story, Task, Subtask will sync to Forecast if:
- They have no due date
- Their due date is on or after the JIRA Cutoff Date.
- JIRA child issues will sync if their JIRA parent issue is synced.
- If a JIRA child issue's parent issue has a due date occurring before the cutoff date, the sub-task will not be synced to Forecast even if its own due date is after the cutoff date.
Versions
If the project is set up to sync versions as phases in Forecast, then versions will sync to Forecast if:
- They have no end date
- Their end date is on or after the cutoff date.
Sprints
If the project is set up to sync sprints, then sprints will sync to Forecast if:
- They have no end date
- Their end date is on or after the cutoff date.
Worklogs
JIRA worklogs are synced to Forecast if:
- Their date is on or after the cutoff date.
Date changes made in JIRA
Date changes made in JIRA will be respected by the JIRA Cutoff Date and determine if the sync will include or exclude the item.
- If an item in JIRA is changed so that it no longer lies within the cutoff date it will be removed during the overnight sync process.
- If an item in JIRA is changed to be within the cutoff date, it may appear immediately. If it does not, it will be updated and appear in Forecast during the overnight sync process.
