How do I transfer dashboard ownership to another Designer?

Question

I need to transfer ownership of a dashboard in Advanced Analytics to another user. How do I do this?

Answer

It is possible to transfer ownership of a dashboard in Advanced Analytics to another user. The user must be assigned Designer permission. For more information on Advanced Analytics permissions see, Assigning and updating Advanced Analytics permissions. 

To transfer dashboard ownership

1. Click Reports in the top bar.
2. Select Advanced Analytics from the dropdown.
3. In the right side panel, click Go to Analytics. 
4. Open the dashboard in question. 
5. Click the share icon at the top right of the dashboard. 
6. In the Email reporting settings window, type the name of the user to which the dashboard will be transferred. 
7. When the user name appears, click to select the user.
   
   Note: Only Forecast users with Advanced Analytics permission profiles will be visible here. If the user does not appear for selection see Advanced Analytics user isn't appearing for dashboard sharing.
8. Expand the dropdown for Can View. 
9. Select Make Owner.
10. Click Save.
11. Confirm the transfer ownership in the next window by clicking OK.
12. The dashboard ownership is now transferred to the selected user. 

Once a dashboard is transferred to the new owner, the original owner will no longer have access to the share settings for the report. All sharing and subscription settings must be managed by the new owner.
