Advanced Analytics user isn't appearing for dashboard sharing.

Question

I need to share an Advanced Analytics dashboard with another team member but the their user doesn't appear for sharing, why?

Answer

The user's Forecast profile is not linked to Advanced Analytics. Once linked, the team member will appear for selection when sharing dashboards.

Overview

When a user is granted access to Advanced Analytics, they must also link their Forecast profile to their Advanced Analytics user. Team Members with an Advanced Analytics permission profile and whose Forecast profiles have been linked with Advanced Analytics will be available for selection as shared dashboard recipients.

While Admins can review a team member's profile to see if it has been linked with Advanced Analytics, they cannot link the profile.  A Forecast profile can only be linked to an Advanced Analytics user from within the specific team member's Forecast account.

If a team member has the correct Advanced Analytics permission and has linked their Forecast profile with their Advanced Analytics user and is not appearing for sharing, please reach out to Forecast Support.

Troubleshooting

A user must have an Advanced Analytics permission profile and have linked their Forecast profile with their Advanced Analytics user. Forecast Admins manage permission profiles and are the only Forecast user with access to team member permissions. 

If you are not an Admin user, please reach out to your Forecast Admin to assist. 

To check if a team member's profile has the correct permission profile for Advanced Analytics

1. Click Admin in the top bar.
2. Select Resources from the dropdown. 
3. On the People page, locate the team member.
4. In the Permission Profile column, confirm either 'Advanced Analytics Designer' or 'Advanced Analytics Viewer' is listed.

To check if a team member's profile is linked to Advanced Analytics

1. Click Admin in the top bar.
2. Select Resources from the dropdown. 
3. On the People page, locate the team member.
4. Click on Name to open the profile. 
5. Scroll down to Advanced Analytics.

Once a team member has been granted permission to access Advanced Analytics, the user will then need to be linked to their Forecast profile.

Linking an Advanced Analytics user to a Forecast profile can only be done from within the team member profile and cannot be completed by an Admin or other user.

To link a team member profile with Advanced Analytics

1. From the team member's Forecast account, click Reports in the top bar.
2. Select Advanced Analytics in the dropdown. 
   1. If Advanced Analytics does not appear, the user may not have permission and will need to work with their Forecast Admin to adjust their permission profile.
3. In the right side panel click the purple button, 'Go to Advanced Analytics'
4. Advanced Analytics will open in a new tab.
5. Now the team member's Forecast profile is linked with their Advanced Analytics user.
