You can now work with a much broader set of currencies in PSA. The supported currency catalog has expanded from 31 to approximately 150 currencies, matching the currencies available in Sage Intacct.
You can now select from a wider range of local currencies when quoting, invoicing, and reporting, making it easier to manage projects across different regions.
What’s Changed
More currencies available
The currency catalog now includes additional currencies such as Brazilian real, Polish zloty, Israeli new shekel, Indonesian rupiah, and many others.
You can use these currencies when:
- Adding exchange rates
- Creating rate cards
- Generating invoices
The + Add New Currency picker now includes the expanded list of supported currencies.
Standardized currency names
Currency selectors throughout the app now use a consistent format:
Code (Symbol) - Name
Example:
- ARS ($) - Argentine peso
This makes currencies easier to identify and select, especially when multiple currencies share similar symbols.
Updated currency symbol formatting
Currency symbols now display according to standard conventions for each currency.
Examples:
- Brazilian real: R$ 1,000 (previously displayed as 1,000 R$)
- Polish zloty: 1,000 zł
Clearer project currency information
Projects without an attached rate card now clearly indicate when the company base currency is being used.
Where You’ll See These Changes
The updated currency options are available in:
- Admin → Company Details: When selecting your company's base currency.
- Admin → Finance → Currencies: In the dropdown menu when adding currencies.
- Admin → Finance → Rate Cards: When you select a currency for your rate card.
- Create Invoice: When Selecting a Currency for Your Invoice
- Project Pages: Settings → Finance → Rate Card
What You Need to Know
No action is required from administrators. The expanded currency catalog and updated currency formatting are available automatically with this release.
A small number of existing currencies may appear differently because their symbol placement has been updated to follow standard conventions. Existing projects, exchange rates, rate cards, and financial data are unchanged — only the way currencies are displayed has been updated.
