Does Nova Insights consider time registered directly to projects?

My company is set up to use Project Allocation mode for resourcing. Does Nova Insights consider time logged against a projects directly and not against tasks?

Answer

No. Nova Insights relies on task time registrations. Task time registrations indicate progress against planned/scoped work items.  Registering time at the project level doesn't show much about the progress against planned scope, rather it shows that some time was spent on an unknown piece of work within a project.
