High Priority open Tasks

This recipe covers how to create a custom Advanced Analytics report to review high priority open tasks. 

What's needed

• Skill level: Beginner
• Time needed: 10 minutes
• Plan required: Forecast Pro and Plus plans + Advanced Analytics
• Data required: Tasks with High Priority Indicator

Creating the report in Advanced Analytics

1. In Advanced Analytics, use '+' to create a new Dashboard.
2. In 'New Dashboard / Please select a Data Source' to connect to, select 'Forecast DataModel', enter a name for your report in 'Title', and click 'Create'.
3. In your new dashboard, click on '+ Select Data' to add a field for 'Task Name'.
4. Then, click on the purple '+' to add more data and search for 'High Priority'. 
5. Before adding to the widget, hover over your selection until it's highlighted in bright yellow and click on 'More...' and select Filter.
6. Click the box at the top to deselect all options, then tick the box next to 'Yes'. This will return only tasks with the High Priority task indicator. 
7. In the Visualization Settings select the pie chart option icon.
8. Click Create. 
9. To add a filter to select only open tasks, click on the filter icon above Filter Your Dashboard on the right side panel. 
10. In the Add Filter window, search for 'Is Done'.
11. Before adding the filter, hover over your selection until it's highlighted in bright yellow and click on 'Filter...'.
12. Untick the box at the top to deselect all options, then click the box next to '0' to apply the filter to return only Open tasks and click 'OK'.
13. To add a date filter, click the '+' next to Filters at the top right. 
14. Search for "Task Deadline Date'.
15. Before adding the filter, hover over your selection until it's highlighted in bright yellow and click on 'Filter...'.
16. Click into the dropdown where 'Years' displays and select the desired time period, i.e. Days, Weeks, Months. Here we will select 'Months'.
17. Click the box at the top next to 'Months' to deselect all months. 
18. Click into the box next to the desired month and click 'OK'.
19. Now your report is ready to view.
