What's needed
- Skill level: Beginner
- Time needed: 10 minutes
- Plan required: Forecast Pro and Plus plans + Advanced Analytics
- Data required: Tasks with High Priority Indicator
Creating the report in Advanced Analytics
- In Advanced Analytics, use '+' to create a new Dashboard.
- In 'New Dashboard / Please select a Data Source' to connect to, select 'Forecast DataModel', enter a name for your report in 'Title', and click 'Create'.
- In your new dashboard, click on '+ Select Data' to add a field for 'Task Name'.
- Then, click on the purple '+' to add more data and search for 'High Priority'.
- Before adding to the widget, hover over your selection until it's highlighted in bright yellow and click on 'More...' and select Filter.
- Click the box at the top to deselect all options, then tick the box next to 'Yes'. This will return only tasks with the High Priority task indicator.
- In the Visualization Settings select the pie chart option icon.
- Click Create.
- To add a filter to select only open tasks, click on the filter icon above Filter Your Dashboard on the right side panel.
- In the Add Filter window, search for 'Is Done'.
- Before adding the filter, hover over your selection until it's highlighted in bright yellow and click on 'Filter...'.
- Untick the box at the top to deselect all options, then click the box next to '0' to apply the filter to return only Open tasks and click 'OK'.
- To add a date filter, click the '+' next to Filters at the top right.
- Search for "Task Deadline Date'.
- Before adding the filter, hover over your selection until it's highlighted in bright yellow and click on 'Filter...'.
- Click into the dropdown where 'Years' displays and select the desired time period, i.e. Days, Weeks, Months. Here we will select 'Months'.
- Click the box at the top next to 'Months' to deselect all months.
- Click into the box next to the desired month and click 'OK'.
- Now your report is ready to view.
Note: Dashboard filters MUST be added by Advanced Analytics Designers in order to allow Advanced Analytics Viewers the control over adjusting or editing the filtered data as desired in a shared dashboard. Advanced Analytics Viewers CANNOT add dashboard filters.
