Task Modal Improvements

We've upgraded the task modal with a richer editing experience and a new way to manage task monitoring defaults across your company.

Select several files at once and attach them all in a single action. If one file in the batch fails to upload, you'll be told which one — the rest still go through.

Instead of re-uploading a file you've already added to the project, you can now pick it from a file picker that shows your project's folder structure and supports selecting multiple files at once. 

The file is linked, not duplicated, so the same file can live on more than one task.

Note: A file linked to a task can't be deleted from Project Files until it's unlinked from that task.

Turn selected text into a clickable link instead of pasting a raw URL into your description or comment. Any existing raw URLs will keep working as before.

When you paste an image into the description or comment box, it will now display inline, right where you pasted it — giving you a true in-line editing experience. 

It will also still appear as an attachment at the bottom of the task, alongside your other files.

Previously, pasting an image only attached it to the task; it wouldn't show up inline in the text itself. This update adds that inline display, while keeping the attachment behavior you're used to.

The same inline placement now extends to other file types beyond images.

Emoji Reactions on Task Comments

Add emoji reactions to task comments to quickly acknowledge, respond to, or react to updates without adding a new comment.

If your task content crosses between Forecast and Jira, note the following:

• Images from Jira continue to appear in Forecast as a placeholder rather than the image itself — this is unchanged.

• Inline images and files added in Forecast will appear on the Jira side as a link back to view them in Forecast, rather than the file itself.

We've renamed Admin > Project Priorities to Admin > Projects.

The page now has two tabs: Priority levels, where you'll find your existing priority configuration, and Task monitoring.

From the Task monitoring tab, Admins can set a company-wide preference that allows task owners and followers to be added on projects.

Note: This setting is off by default and applies to new projects only. It can be overridden at the project level.
