Task Management Suggestions

Forecast provides AI-based Task Management Suggestions to help you determine which roles, assignees or work estimates to apply to tasks. Suggested roles, people or time estimates are based on historical task and project data within your Forecast account.

Overview of Task Management Suggestions

The Task Management Suggestions model considers the following properties from existing tasks when making suggestions:

Task
Project
Previously Assigned Role
Workflow Status (estimates only)
Person Who Created It (estimates only)
Time of Creation (estimates only)
Previous Person Role (estimates only)
Deadline (estimates only)
Minutes Registered (estimates only)
Current Estimate (estimates only)

Suggested Roles

Forecast suggests roles based on previous data used on similar tasks. Suggested Roles appear in the Task Modal and within Automate in the bulk task actions menu

In the task modal, Suggested Roles display at the bottom of the Role drop-down under Suggestions.

Suggested Roles using Automate

Automate is available in the bulk task actions menu in Scoping and Task Board. Assign roles considers historical task data when making suggestions.

Suggested Assignees

Like Suggested Roles, Suggested Assignees are based on previous data used on similar tasks. Suggested Assignees appear in the Task Modal and within Automate in the bulk task actions menu.

Automate is available in the bulk task actions menu in Scoping and Task Board. Assign people considers historical task data when making suggestions.

Suggested Work Estimates

Suggested Work Estimates is accessible within Automate and is available for time estimations only. Suggested Work Estimates does not support Story Points. Add work estimates considers historical task data when making suggestions.

Note: Add Work Estimates appears once there is sufficient data for the AI model to consider. If your account is new, or has minimal project and task data, Add Work Estimates may not appear within Automate.
