Why can't I edit an expense item?

I have an expense item for which the 'Edit' button is not there (there is a 'View' option instead). How do I modify this expense?

Answer

You can edit expense items as long as they are not included in an invoice or logged in a locked month.

• If they are part of an invoice, you would have to first remove them from there, then edit the expense items, and re-add them to the invoice.
• If they are in a locked month, you would have to re-open the month, edit the expenses, and re-lock the month.
