Why can't I edit an expense item?

I have expense items for which the edit button is grayed-out. How do I edit them?

Answer

You can edit expense items as long as they are not attached to an invoice. If they are part of an invoice, you would have to first remove it, then edit the expense item and then re-add the invoice back.
