Forecast's Calendar integration allow you to effortlessly book meetings for yourself and your team directly from your calendar. A Forecast Admin must activate the calendar integration enabling users to link their personal calendar to their individual user profile before calendar meetings can be created from tasks.

Creating a Calendar Meeting from a task
Meetings can be created directly from within a task. The task name and task ID are included in the meeting description, providing a reference for the meeting.
To create a calendar meeting
- Open the task modal and click on the three dot menu in the upper right corner.
- Select Create Google calendar meeting for Google calendar or Create calendar meeting for Outlook or iCal calendars.
For Google Calendars
- Select Create Google calendar meeting
- A new tab opens where you can add the event details, title and any meeting details you need to include.
- The task will appear in the event description.
- All tasks assignees are automatically added as meeting Guests.
- Enter the date, time or any other information, as needed.
- Click Save.
With Outlook or iCal calendars, selecting Create calendar meeting prompts a download of the meeting invite.
For Outlook Calendar

- Click the download calendar file to open the meeting editor.
- The task appears as the meeting title.
- Task description is included in the meeting details.
- All task assignees appear in Required.
- Enter the date, time or any other information, as needed.
- Click Send Update.

For iCal Calendars

- Click the downloaded calendar file to open the meeting in the Calendar.
- Select the calendar for the meeting from the dropdown.
- Click OK.
- Review event invitees opting to Remove Invitees or Send Invitations.
- The calendar invite is then automatically added to iCalendar.
- The invite can be amended by changing the date, time or invitees as needed.
