Track deadlines, see what needs to be worked on, and register time directly from your calendar. By integrating Google Calendar with Forecast, tasks created and assigned in Forecast will be reflected directly in the assignee’s calendar.

Enabling the Google Calendar integration
The Google Calendar integration must be enabled by Admin users before individual users can link their Forecast profiles to their Google Calendars.

Click on Admin in the top bar.

Select Integrations from the dropdown.

Locate Calendar and click to access the integration's page.
- Click Activate.
Syncing your Forecast Profile to your Google Calendar
Once a Forecast Admin user enables the Google Calendar integration, individual users can then link their Forecast profiles to their Google Calendar. Once integrated, users can see their assigned tasks in their Google calendar, view the task details and register time.
- Click on the profile icon at the top right.
- Select Profile from the dropdown.
- Scroll to Calendar integration.
- Copy your unique calendar link.
- Open Google Calendar.
- To add the calendar URL in your Google Calendar, follow the steps depending on whether you use the Modern or the Classic design display:
- For Google calendars with Modern design display
- Click the + button next to My calendars in Google Calendar and select From URL.
- Insert the calendar link copied from Forecast into URL of calendar.
- Your assigned tasks from Forecast should now show up in your Google Calendar.
- For Google calendars with Classic design display
- Click the button next to Other calendars in Google Calendar and select Add by URL.
- Insert the calendar link copied from Forecast into URL.
- Your assigned tasks from Forecast should now show up in your Google Calendar.
- For Google calendars with Modern design display
Once you have successfully integrated your Google calendar with Forecast, your tasks will display on your calendar and include task information such as task ID, task name, description and the project it belongs to.
Accessing tasks from the calendar
Accessing your assigned tasks from Google Calendar makes it easy to manage your time and assignments from a single place.
To access your tasks from Google calendar
- From your calendar, click on the task to display the task details.
- Click 'Open Task'.
- A redirect notice will display indicating you will be redirected to Forecast.
- To continue, click on the task link next to 'The previous page is sending you to https://app.forecast.it/[TaskID]'.
- If you do not wish to proceed, click on the link to 'return to the previous page.'
Registering time from the calendar
The Google Calendar integration makes it easier to view your assignments and log time. Registering time using the calendar link prefills the task/project details directly within Forecast eliminating the need to search through your assigned work and select the task you are working on.
To register time from Google Calendar
- Click on a task in Google Calendar.
- Click Register Time to log time on the task directly from the calendar.
- A redirect notice will display indicating you will be redirected to Forecast.
- To continue, click on the link next to 'The previous page is sending you to https://app.forecast.it/timesheets'.
- You will be redirected to MyTimesheets in Forecast where the project and task details will be prefilled in the New Time Entry section of the page.
- From here, enter the amount of time you need to register and click 'Add'.
- If you do not wish to proceed, click on the link to 'return to the previous page.'
Removing Forecast from your Google Calendar
If you need to disconnect the Google Calendar integration, you can unlink it at any time by removing the calendar from your Google account.
To remove Forecast from your Google Calendar
- Scroll down to Other Calendars and locate Forecast.
- Remove the check mark to disable the display of the tasks.
- Click on the three dot menu and go to Settings.
- Select Unsubscribe from the Remove Calendar section.
