What are unassigned tasks in People Schedule?

Answer

The unassigned task list shows all tasks not yet assigned to a resource.  Its purpose is to remind you which tasks from your projects have not been assigned to any team members. The tasks are grouped by the roles assigned to the tasks.

Unassigned tasks appear in People Schedule when:

• The company's resource management setting is Assign people to tasks. 
• The company's resource management setting is Both project allocations and task assignments and Tasks-only view of the heatmap is selected.
