Clients care about major milestones and the actual value being delivered, not the hundreds of granular tasks needed to get there.
Until now, using Phases or Tasks as a workaround for these major outcomes made the system noisy and complicated reporting. We built the new Deliverables feature to solve this. Now, you can clearly define the distinct goods or services you provide, making SOWs, pricing, and high-level progress tracking clearer than ever.
What's New
Define Your Deliverables: You can now distinctly define the major outcomes of your project with dedicated Names and Descriptions, separating the high-level value from the granular day-to-day work.
Granular Baseline Estimating: Create Baseline estimates not just per Phase, but specifically per Deliverable. This allows you to map out your project estimates exactly how you present them in your proposals.
Associate Tasks and Expenses: Keep your work perfectly organized. You can now link individual Tasks and Expenses directly to their relevant Deliverable.
Track Performance Effortlessly: Stop manually reconciling data to see which services are profitable. You can now track performance, time, and progress grouped by Deliverables directly in the Task Report and Time Registered Report.
Prerequisites & How to Enable
The Deliverables feature is available on any project that currently has the Baseline feature enabled.
To start using this feature, navigate to Project Settings > Tasks within your project to enable Deliverable management.
Looking Ahead
While we hope these immediate improvements make structuring your projects and tracking profitability much smoother, we are even more excited about what this new level of organization unlocks. This update provides the foundation for highly requested future enhancements, including Deliverable-specific budgets, clearer work-in-progress views for stakeholders, and a dedicated Deliverable column on the All Expenses page.
