We are committed to continuously improving the Forecast experience based on your feedback. We have upgraded our HubSpot integration to give you more control over your data, introducing a highly requested Bidirectional Sync feature alongside powerful new mapping capabilities and automation improvements.
You can explore these updated components by navigating to Admin > Integrations > HubSpot.
What's New: Bidirectional Sync Opt-Out Options
We know that full two-way syncing isn't always the ideal workflow for every team. You can now customize your sync behaviour for specific deal fields using two main settings: Enabled Fields (formerly 'Linked Fields') and Bidirectional Sync.
| Setting | Toggled ON | Toggled OFF |
|---|---|---|
Enabled Fields |
Enables update sync strictly from HubSpot → Forecast. |
Disables the update sync entirely for the selected field. |
Bidirectional Sync |
Enables a two-way update sync between Forecast and HubSpot. |
Enables a one-way update sync from HubSpot → Forecast. |

We have expanded how Forecast and HubSpot communicate to keep your data aligned across platforms. Here are the supported fields and their new update paths.

Automation & Project Creation Upgrades
To save your team time and reduce manual data entry, we have introduced several new automation triggers:
Time & Materials (T&M) Project Creation: A T&M project is automatically created in Forecast from a HubSpot deal if that deal has no deal amount and no template attached.
Syncing Companies as Clients: If a linked HubSpot deal has a primary Company attached, it will automatically be created, matched, or merged as a Forecast Client. This Client is assigned to the linked project upon creation, overriding any default template settings if necessary.
Retainer Tracking: Retainer tracking periods set on Retainer project templates are now automatically applied to any newly created Forecast projects that use that specific template.
Usability & Performance
Faster Sync Speeds: We have heavily optimized the sync time between Forecast and HubSpot, ensuring your data updates reflect as quickly as possible.
Quick Default Templates: You can now easily change your default project template by selecting or deselecting the default template option directly on the HubSpot integration settings page within Forecast.
API Updates: The
external_refsparameter is now available in the API underv1/projects.
