Upgrades to Baseline

We built this update to give you more control and eliminate some of the biggest headaches you've faced.

What’s New

• Review without fear: We've introduced dedicated Read and Edit modes. You can now safely review your Baselines without worrying about making accidental changes.
• Order phases your way: Say goodbye to phase orders being strictly hardcoded by dates. The new Phase Management modal lets you re-order phases exactly how you need them.
• Generate Placeholders from Baseline: Save time by generating Placeholders from Baseline estimates in a single click (applies only to Project Allocation and Combined Resourcing modes).

While we hope these immediate improvements make your day-to-day smoother, we are even more excited about what this redesign unlocks. The new design provides the foundation required for heavily requested future features like Baseline locking, a dedicated permission for creating/editing Baselines, and Deliverable tracking in Forecast.

Prerequisites

• The Create Placeholders functionality is dependent on the ability and permission to create placeholders (not compatible with the Task-based resourcing settings)
• Note that the "Create Placeholders from Baseline" action is a one-time CREATE action – Placeholder allocations are not updated if changes are made to the Baseline, and it is possible to create duplicates if the action is performed multiple times
