Announcing the ability to set custom project IDs

To capture your organization’s information model more accurately, Forecast is introducing the ability to set custom IDs for your projects.

How does it work?

Project IDs in Forecast by default are numeric, automatically incrementing for new projects and prefixed with a “P”. 

It is now possible to override the default project ID in the project settings with an alphanumeric string up to six (6) characters long. Please note that each ID needs to be unique and can be customized only for Projects and Programs (not Connected Projects). 

The new project ID will be used everywhere in the Forecast platform, including the URLs to project specific pages, reports, API, filters, and Advanced Analytics.
