Connecting the Sage Intacct Integration

Now, you are ready to configure the Sage Intacct (Intacct) integration. If you have not yet enabled web services, check out Prerequisites for the Sage Intacct Integration before proceeding to connect the Intacct integration.

Connecting Sage Intacct

1. Log into your Forecast site, https://app.forecast.it/login.
2. From Admin, select Integrations.
3. Scroll to Accounting  & billing and click on Sage Intacct. 
4. Click Activate.

5. Under Connection, complete the form with the details defined in Prerequisites for the Sage Intacct Integration.
   

   Entity ID: It corresponds to the numeric identifier for your entities in Intacct.
       - If the Entity ID field is left blank, Forecast will import data from all Intacct entities.
       - If you provide an Entity ID, Forecast will import data from the specified entity as well as the Top Level.
       - Specifying multiple entities in the Entity ID field is not supported.
   Best practice: Enter an Entity ID to limit data imports to a single entity when retrieving customers or employees.
6. Click Connect.

Connection status

Once connected, Connection status will display as Connected and data will start syncing.

Configuration Settings

Configuration Settings identifies your source of truth for timesheets. To use Intacct as your source for timesheets, remove the default selection and Update Settings. Timesheets entered in Intacct will now import to Forecast. 

Use Sage Intacct Timesheets Sync Rules

Use Sage Intacct Timesheets is selected:

• Time entries are imported from Intacct.
• It is not possible to create time entries in Forecast.
• Any employees associated with time entries who are not yet imported into Forecast are imported from Intacct.

Use Sage Intacct Timesheets is not selected:

• Time entries made in Forecast are exported to Intacct.
• Time entries made in Intacct are not imported into Forecast.
• Only Sync Approved Time is selected by default.
  • This ensures only approved timesheets are synced to Intacct.
