With the help of connected projects, users are able to connect two or more projects under one parent project. Connected projects allows for easy collaboration between teams and departments, by bringing workflows together. The additional connected sprint planning lets users to plan out their roadmap with a more holistic approach.

Creating a connected project
To create a connected project
- Click the + NEW button the top right corner.
- Select Connected Project.
- A modal will pop up.
- Add a Name.
- Select the projects from the dropdown to be connected.
- Click Add.
The newly created connected project can be viewed on the Projects page alongside the rest of the portfolio. To differentiate them from other projects, connected projects always start with the letter X followed by a number and always encompass in a frame all the projects that are connected.
Viewing a connected project
When opening a connected project, users are greeted with a joint Workflow, Timeline and Sprints (if enabled) tab. This allows for a collective view and management of all three of these tabs across all projects that are currently connected under the parent project. Changes made to the parent project will have affect on every project under it.
To view a specific project under the parent project users can either:
- Navigate to the Projects tab
- Click on the project they wish to view under the parent project
OR
- Open the parent project
- Select the project they wish to view from the dropdown menu found on the left-hand side of the navigation bar
OR
- Open the parent project
- Click the three-dots icon on the navigation bar.
- Select Projects.
- Click on the project they wish to view under.
Joint Workflow and Sprint
Tasks created and added on the Workflow and Sprint have different task IDs, that indicate to which project the they belong. In addition, please keep in mind that all changes made inside your connected project will affect all the connected projects. This also means that certain parts of Project Settings will be dictated by the Connected Project, and thus not editable inside the individual project
Joint Timeline
Includes the timeline for all the projects nested under the parent project in a similar fashion tot the Schedule Projects view.
Adding a connected project
Users have the possibility to add a new project to the parent project at any given and not only at creation.
To add an additional project
- Navigate to the parent project.
- Click the three-dots icon on the navigation bar.
- Select Projects.
- Click Add Project in the top right corner.
- Select a project from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the selected project to add to the parent project.
Removing a connected project
It is possible to remove a project from the parent project, whenever the projects no longer need to be connected to each other.
To remove a project
- Navigate to the parent project.
- Click the three-dots icon on the navigation bar.
- Select Projects.
- Select the project to be removed.
- Click the three-dots icon on the right hand side of the project bar.
- Select Remove from Connected project.
