Describe the report you need in plain language, and Forecast builds it. The AI Report Builder turns a prompt like "all in-progress tasks across active projects, grouped by assignee" into a live, editable report.
Build reports by describing them
The builder drafts the report immediately and shows how it interpreted each phrase. Every filter is visible and editable, so you can see exactly what "the product team's tasks, this month" became. Where a group captures your intent, the builder uses it: "the delivery team" becomes a department condition, so new joiners appear in the report automatically. If a request names something that doesn't exist, or asks for data outside the report's scope, the builder says so rather than guessing.
Two report types
Tasks. A filtered, grouped, sortable list of tasks across projects: assignees, estimates, time logged, remaining work, dates, priorities, labels, sprints and custom fields. Group by project, phase, assignee, status, client or label. Subtasks display under their parent tasks, and each row opens the task or its project directly.
Project status. One row per project: stage, RAG status with the latest update note, owner, dates, progress and budget type. Group by client, status, owner or budget type to build your portfolio view, including retainer hours consumed against target for retainer projects.
Refine, save and share
Edit any report directly: change conditions through value pickers, add or remove columns, reorder, resize, sort on any column and group. Every group carries subtotals for its numeric columns, with a total row for the report. Save it to the Reports list alongside your standard reports; reopening it re-runs the definition against current data. Share it with colleagues as viewers or editors. Colleagues need reporting access to open a shared report, and everyone sees results under their own permissions. A scoped or empty result says what permissions it ran under and which condition narrowed it. Edits reach readers only when the editor publishes them, so a shared report never changes while someone is reading it.
Export everything
Export to CSV returns every row matching your conditions, grouped as on screen.
