Question
In some tasks that are linked to JIRA issues the time registered by team members in JIRA are not showing up on Forecast. Why is that?
Answer
There are a couple of reasons why time registrations do not come over to Forecast from JIRA.
Non-synced profile
Primarily, it has to do with whether or not the individual that registered the hours in JIRA has a profile in Forecast and is synced with their JIRA profile.
Always make sure that people who register time in JIRA issues that are linked with Forecast tasks have their profiles synced. To learn more about how to sync users check, Connect Jira, and Forecast User Profiles.
Tempo token deprecated
Another reason why time registrations might not come over to Forecast if Tempo is being used for time registration is that the Tempo token has been deprecated. This means that any time registrations made in Tempo (or in JIRA and end up in Tempo) will not come over to Forecast. If you believe that this is the cause please reach out to Forecast support via chat or email at support@forecast.app.
Historical dates
Time entered in Jira prior to December 2019 will not sync to Forecast. Please reach out to Forecast Support to assist with syncing time entries dated prior to December 2019.
