Setting up the Harvest integration
Before setting up the integration, users need to make sure that they are not using Time Approval as the integration is not compatible with it. Time Approval locks time registrations, which means that the integration will not be able to synchronise changes correctly.
To set up the integration
- Go to the Admin panel.
- Navigate to Integrations.
- Locate the Harvest integration.
- Enter the Harvest account name, username, and password.
- Click Activate.
Note: Each field needs to be filled with the necessary specific information.
- Account name - Under account name users need to enter the name of the account that they see in their Harvest profile. This can be viewed either from the Harvest settings or from the URL when logged into the Harvest account.
- Username - Under username users need to enter the email address of the user that is connecting to the two platforms. Every user that wishes to sync their Harvest profile to Forecast needs to use the same email address for both platforms, otherwise the connection won't be established.
- Password - Under password users need to enter their Harvest account password.
Connecting team members to Harvest
In order for a team member to be able to use the Harvest integration in Forecast, the user profile needs to be connected to the integration.
To connect a team member to Harvest
- Navigate to the My Profile page.
- Scroll down to the Harvest integration.
- Enter email address.
- Go to the Admin panel.
- Navigate to the People tab found under Resources.
- Users that are successfully connected with Harvest are marked with the Harvest logo next to their names.
