Forecast's calendar integrations allow you to effortlessly book meetings for yourself and your team in a variety of ways. Create meetings from tasks or use the team view to add all team members as meeting attendants. Meetings created in Forecast will appear on directly on your calendar.

Create a calendar meeting
Meetings can be created directly from the task modal allowing you to include the task as reference in the meeting description. In order to create meetings from Forecast tasks, the integration must first be enabled by a Forecast Admin. Once enabled, individual users can sync their Forecast profiles to their calendar, thus allowing the ability to create meetings directly from within a Forecast task.
To create a calendar meeting
- Open the task modal and click on the three dot menu in the upper right corner.
- Select Create Google calendar meeting for Google calendar or Create calendar meeting for Outlook or iCal calendars.
- For Google calendar, selecting Create Google calendar meeting will prompt a new tab to open where you can add the event details, title and any meeting details you need to include.
- The task will appear in the event description and all tasks assignees will automatically be added as Guests to the meeting.
- Enter the date, time and any other information needed and click Save.
- The task will appear in the event description and all tasks assignees will automatically be added as Guests to the meeting.
- For Outlook or iCal calendars, selecting Create calendar meeting will prompt a download of the meeting invite.
- For Outlook calendars
- Click on the download to open the meeting editor.
- The Task will appear as the meeting title, the task description will be included in the meeting details and all task assignees will appear in Required.
- Enter the date and time details and click Send Update.
- For iCal calendars
- Click on the downloaded calendar file to open the meeting in the Calendar.
- Add the event to the calendar of your choice, by selecting the calendar in the dropdown and then OK.
- Before the invite is added, confirm whether you want to keep the invitees (users that are assigned to the task in Forecast) and send the invite or remove them.
- The calendar invite is then automatically added to iCalendar. The invite can now be amended by changing the date, time or the invitees.
- For Outlook calendars
