Your roles in Forecast are there to sort your team members based on the job they perform within your organisation and are key to define the hourly pay of each team member, based on how your rate cards have been configured. Every single team member can only have one unique role.

Adding a new role
The below steps will guide you through the process of setting up your company roles. There are no limits in terms of how many roles you can have in Forecast. Once a role is added, the column People with role will show as 0, because no team members that have been assigned this role yet. To assign a role, see Adding and managing users.
- Click on Admin on the top bar.
- Select Resources.
- Navigate to the Roles tab.
- Enter the name of the new role.
- Click "Add Role".
Editing your company roles
To edit your company roles:
- Click on Admin on the top bar.
- Select Resources.
- Navigate to the Roles tab.
- Click on the role name and make your edits.
Deleting a role
You can delete roles at any time, any team members with that role will no longer have an assigned role but will still exist in Forecast.
To delete a role:
- Click on Admin on the top bar.
- Select Resources.
- Navigate to the Roles tab.
- Hover over the role you wish to delete.
- Click on "Delete".
