I need to export an invoice from Forecast to Quickbooks. In the Export to Quickbooks window, the Customer field is blank. I am unable to select the customer or export the invoice.
Answer
A Forecast Client profile must be linked to a Quickbooks Customer before an invoice can be exported to Quickbooks. If the Customer does not appear in the dropdown in the Export to Quickbooks window, it is likely the Forecast profile is not linked to Quickbooks.
To resolve and complete the export of the invoice to Quickbooks, update the Forecast Client profile by linking it corresponding Quickbooks Customer.
To link a Forecast client profile to a Quickbooks Customer
- Click Admin in the top bar.
- Select Client from the dropdown.
- In the client list, scroll to find the profile in question.
- Click Edit on the right side of the profile.
- Scroll down to Quickbooks.
- Select the customer from Quickbooks Customer list.
- The Forecast Client profile is now linked to a Quickbooks Customer.
- Return to the invoice.
- Click Export.
- In Export to Quickbooks, the linked customer will appear in the dropdown.
- Completed the form and click Export.
