Forecast is releasing new functionality for beta testing: a page for viewing and managing expenses across all projects.
This functionality will:
- Allow financial controllers to monitor and update expense properties, ensuring appropriate inputs
- Provide financial reporting and a CSV export for expenses across multiple projects
- Allow financial controllers or PMs to download files from multiple expenses at one go
This page will be accessed from the Finance tab in the main navigation.
The expenses page includes the following functionalities:
- A summary will be displayed at the top of the page, showing totals for the expenses listed in the table
- Filter expenses by dates using the date picker
- Apply filters to narrow down expenses based on Project or Expense properties
- Toggle between displaying all financials in the company currency or various project currencies
- Use groupings to view expenses summarized and grouped as needed
- Export a CSV file containing all expenses listed in the table
- You can view details or change an expense by clicking on the Expense name or selecting 'Edit expense'
- View files associated with an expense or download all attached files
- Select multiple expenses to make changes to them simultaneously
Permissions
Admins and those with ‘Access all projects’ (custom permissions) can view expenses from all projects.
Those below Admins and without ‘Access all projects’ (custom permissions) will be able to view expenses from projects that they have access to
Those with the custom permission ‘Read data access for all projects and programs’ (currently in beta) can see but not edit expenses from projects they are not on the project team.
