Creating an internal demo account

This article covers how to create a demo Forecast account to use for platform training, case troubleshooting or other support needs. 

1. Log out of your existing Forecast business account or open browser in incognito/private mode. 
2. Go to https://app.forecast.it/signup
3. Create a new account using an aliased email account similar to the examples below using your real Forecast email address, then the plus sign (+) followed by any word/s. This will create your aliased account. 
   1. aldo+demo@forecast.app
   2. becky.crittenden+demo@forecast.app
4. Click 'NO' when asked if you want to join the 'forecast.app' account.
5. Complete the sign up steps. 
6. You should automatically gain access to your new demo account. 
7. Go to Admin > Details and enter a unique company name in the Company name line under Address & Logo.  
   1. For new nav, go to Admin > Company Details. 
8. Log out of your demo account. 
9. Log back into your real Forecast business account. 
10. In another tab, go to Mission Control > Company Stats or use https://app.forecast.it/control/company-stats
11. Click on 'Show Current Trials'
12. Using CTRL+F search for your company using the name you entered as Company name in the Details section of Admin. 
13. Click on the date displayed in 'Trial End' to open the calendar date picker. 
14. Extend the end date of your trial account for a considerable amount of time. 

Upon creation, your demo account will automatically populate with demo data but if you'd like to add additional demo data created by other Forecasters use the following steps. 

1. Log into your demo Forecast account. 
2. In Admin, go to the Details tab and scroll down to the Demo Data section. 
3. Click on any of the pre-saved demos and the data will be created automatically.
