Why am I unable to delete my own or my colleagues time registrations from their timesheets?
Answer
There are various reasons time registrations cannot be deleted from tasks or projects.
To find out why the time registration cannot be deleted
- Click on Resourcing in the top bar.
- Select Timesheet Entries from the dropdown.
- Select the week and find the time registration.
- Locked time registrations will appear greyed out.
- Hover over the entry to display the tooltip reason.
Possible reasons a time registration may locked and unable to be deleted:
- Hours have been invoiced
- The hours in question have been invoiced. The invoice status is 'Sent' or the invoice has been exported to an integration.
- To unlock an invoiced time registration revert the invoice status to Draft, then delete it.
- It is not advisable to delete exported invoices, however it is possible by unlinking the invoice from the integration.
- Hours have been approved
- The hours in question are in an approved timesheet.
- To unlock an approved time registration see Using Timesheet Approval to learn how to reject an approved timesheet.
- Once the time registration is rejected, it may be possible to delete it.
- Hours have been locked by Timesheet Locking
- The hours in question were registered to a date that is on or before the date set in Timesheet Locking.

- The hours were reported as time-off
- Time off may be created in Timesheets, My Schedule or People Schedule.
- Time off may only be deleted from People Schedule or My Schedule.
